- Prepare, complete and submit regulatory applications (NYS Department of Health Certificate of Need, NYS Office of Mental Health Prior Approval Review and Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services) for acute care hospitals, diagnostic & treatment centers, long term care facilities, free-standing and hospital-based extension clinics, federally qualified health centers, mental health and other healthcare facilities
- Experience working on various types of CONs/projects including full, administrative and limited review applications and construction notices for establishment; new building; new construction; renovation construction; decertification; additional beds; transfer of beds from one facility to another and from one certified service to another; new clinic sites; infrastructure; acquisition of major medical equipment; change in ownership and relocation of facilities.
- Follow-up with regulatory agencies on submitted applications by responding to requests for additional information and any other inquiries.
- Coordinate and attend pre-occupancy surveys for completed projects by aiding in the collection of documents required for submission before surveys and conducting pre-walkthroughs to assure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Prepare, submit and follow-up on NYS Department of Health closure plans for acute care hospitals, diagnostic & treatment centers, and long-term care facilities.
